At Konciez, we believe in creating products and solutions that are accessible and convenient for you. That’s why we ensure that you can use your own devices to seamlessly integrate with our offerings. Below, we’ve outlined everything you need to know about the tools and requirements to get started, as well as the features and support we provide.
What You Get When You Sign Up
When you sign up with Konciez, you gain access to all our products and solutions, except for the Direct Marketing Platform. If we introduce any new products in the future, we’ll notify you promptly so you can take advantage of the latest innovations.
Device Compatibility
POS Application: Our POS application is compatible with both Windows and iOS devices, giving you flexibility in choosing the hardware that works best for your business.
- Printer: Your POS device must be able to interface with a printer. Our application supports network, Bluetooth, or USB connected printers.
- Cash Drawer: To connect and power your cash drawer, you’ll need a compatible RJ12 connector and a 24V external power supply. This ensures the drawer opens automatically when a receipt is printed.
- Payment Solutions
- InStore Payments: We’ve intentionally kept payment processing separate from our POS system. This allows you the freedom to choose your own payment provider and negotiate processing fees that suit your business needs. If we secure a better deal with a payment processor in the future, we’ll update our solution accordingly.
- Online Payments: For online transactions, we’ve integrated Stripe as our payment processor. You’ll need to create a Stripe account for your business to enable this feature.
Delivery Options
We offer two options for delivery setup:
- DoorDash Drive: We can set up DoorDash Drive for you, or you can configure it yourself. You’ll also have the flexibility to set your delivery radius.
- Payment Collection: Depending on how DoorDash Drive is set up, we’ll either collect and pay DoorDash on your behalf, or the fees will be deducted directly from your account.
SMS Functionality
Our application fully supports SMS functionality to meet your restaurant’s communication needs. To enable this feature, you’ll need to set up an account with Twilio.
Custom Domain
If you don’t already have a custom domain, we’ll purchase one for you or transfer your existing domain to host it on our platform—completely free of charge*.
Tax and Reporting
- Sales Tax: You are responsible for managing sales tax. However, we provide daily sales reports to simplify your tax calculations.
- Deposits: All online and offline payments are deposited directly into your bank account.
Service Fees/Commissions
Konciez offers flexible options for service fees and commissions to suit your business model. You can choose one of the following:
- Flat Fee Service Charge:
- A flat fee of $1.50 per online transaction.
- No service fee for in-store purchases.
- You can choose to absorb this fee or pass it on to your customers.
- Online Order Delivery Upcharges:
- No service fee on in-store or pickup orders.
- Split the online order delivery upcharges with us.
All applicable fees or commissions are withdrawn daily before midnight, and detailed reports are available on your dashboard for transparency.
Google Business Profile
Your success is our success! To help you maximize online orders, we kindly request Manager Access to your Google Business Profile. This allows us to add your online ordering site as the preferred ordering URL on Google Maps while keeping your existing profile unchanged. Additionally, this helps us optimize SEO, driving more traffic to your online ordering site and increasing visibility for potential customers.
Help Desk and Support
Enterprise Customers: We provide a dedicated help desk number for enterprise level support.
General Support: For all other customers, support is handled via email. In case of emergencies, please include “URGENT” in the subject line along with a callback number, and our team will reach out as soon as possible.
